Hello Crafters
We are in October the Nights are drawing in and it will be soon time for trimming the tree so I am getting ahead of making my Christmas cards this year.
I have a video of making these cards as well and it takes about ½ hour to do once you have everything prepped Video
Why 8 cards I here you ask?
I wanted to use just 1 piece of A4 card stock for Mats and Layers and this is how much I used of each with only a small amount left over
You will need 8 card blanks and envelopes, 1 A4 Basic White card 1 Coloured card I used Soft Succulent but use what ever you have that matches you colour scheme, Ribbon, Gems, Dimensionals and adhesives Links below for everything I have used
Stamp set used Whimsical Trees ink pads Polished Pink & Just Jade
Cut the White card stock 2½ x 3½ inch or 6½ x 9 cm
Cut the coloured card stock 2¾ x 3¾ or 7 x 9.5 cm
Step 1 Using the Dotty tree stamp stamp 3 times on either side of the card with the Polished Pink, this is to create a background I use the bottom end of the tree towards the middle.
Step 2 on the White Card you have cut stamp the Holly and Berry image towards the top roughly in the center on all 8 blanks in the Just Jade (or what ever colour matches you coloured card)
Step 3 Use the Bauble stamp and position this just below the Holly leaves with the Polished Pink ink stamp all 8 cards
Step 4 Stick all the Stamped images to the coloured card, if using wet glue it makes it easier for positioning but use sparingly , in the video I used Stamp & Seal tape.
Step 5 Add the Dimensionals to the back of your coloured card stock I recommend 5 per card
Step 6 Stick these to your cards, I positioned my towards the top leaving a gap of about ¾ inch or 2.5cm and center them on either side
Step 7 Make the 8 Bows and stick to the top edge of the Holly stamp I used glue dots
Step 8 Add your Gems
Additional decoration stamp on your envelopes, I used the Holly stamp on the back flap for and example
Try this with other stamp sets you have, this could easily be for birthdays or any other occasions
