Cards featuring 3 Neutrals & Bright - Stamp Around UK

Hello My Name is Yvonne and I am an Independent UK Stampin` Up! Demonstrator

My Blog today is about using pops of colour with the neutral colours

I have designed 2 cards using different stamp sets to show you how you can use the same layout
Base card is Crumb Cake for both cards with standard size cards

My first card is for Easter using Easter Friends stamp set

  • Stamped image of the rabbit on Crumb Cake with Early Espresso ink and the grass
  • The mat is Merry Merlot embossed with the Timeworn 3D embossing folder and is 3mm or ⅛ inch larger than your stamped image,
  • Designer Series Paper is from the Abstract beauty Flirty Flamingo which is either 5mm or ¼ inch smaller than your base card
  • Happy Easter is stamped in Merry Merlot ink
  • Using the embossing folder and the sizes is only a suggestion

The Second card is for Mothers Day - using Daffodil Daydream and Very Versailles stamps

  • Stamp the image of the large daffodil on Crumb Cake in Mossy Meadow ink, use the White water pencil to colour the flowers, use the Daffodil delight pencil to add extra colour to the flowers, use the blender pen to blend the 2 colours together.
  • With the blender pen use the outline of the stems and leaves to bleed the Mossy Meadow to colour in if you want more colour then you can use a water brush to pick up the ink or a Stampin' write marker. Try this first to see what works best for you
  • The mat is Daffodil Delight card stock, stamp Happy Mothers day in Mossy Meadow in the corner of the stamped image.
  • On the base card stamp the worn words from Very Versailles with Early Espresso ink as a background, this is to give the base card some interest I really like this stamp but use what you have

Every Month I join a Video Hop with the Stamp Around UK, here is my video showing the cards and how I made them
